VideoStan capturing a snakeMay 21, '06 3:49 PM
for everyone
Kyla found a snake in the upstairs bathroom. It was more than 2 feet long. She calmly told me about it and I got Stan to go and deal with it. Here is the video of him dealing with it. Note who my concern is for in the video. (Shaggy)

Wow! Stan is very brave!! Actually, you were standing pretty close yourself!! Is Stan OK? Sounded like it bit him...

The little devil bit me twice, once on each hand. I had already determined it wasn't poisonous (I was pretty sure it wasn't anyway). After we released the snake into the woods, what do you think Jody ran to do? Post the video on Multiply!

wow, I would have freaked, and though I release bugs to the outside, after being bit twice, I would have to think about releasing that bugger!

But Shaggy was ok, right????

But wow, did it hurt? That's something I never want to experience, being bit by a snake! Did it break the skin?

Was Shaggy ok? you're as bad as Jody! Did you hear her in the video? "Get back prince Shaggy". Shaggy should have been in there fighting that snake!

It did break the skin but didn't hurt very much, felt like little pinpricks. I was mainly surprised, little sucka was really fast!

To be completely honest, the main reason I didn't want to kill it was it would make a mess in the bathroom, I don't have any love for snakes, poisonous or not...

How did a snake get into the house, crawl up the stairs (that seem too high for him (or her) to climb), and hide in the bathroom? Stan. you sure are neat! I would have stomped on it and then disclaim any responsibility for the mess!

I don't know. We didn't see it come in. But it was more than 2 feet long so it wouldn't have had any trouble with the stairs. You should have seen it climb a tree after Stan released it in the woods. (Makes you think twice about sitting under a tree.)

I can finally watch videos now so I am just getting around to this. But I was sad. I wanted to see Stan holding it up so I could see how big it was. Of course I would never have gone in there to get it!
